Vilm Software Terms of Use

These terms govern the use of the Vilm Care software (the "Software") distributed by Vilm. They do not apply to Vilm's other services, such as recording or studio rental, which are governed by their own terms.

1. The Software

The Software is provided free of charge. It operates on your computer at your direction, and certain features require administrator privileges, as indicated by the operating system. Where the Software provides guidance concerning settings outside itself (for example, firmware or BIOS settings), such guidance is informational only, and whether and how to act on it remains your judgment and responsibility.

The Software is licensed to you for use, not sold. Vilm retains all rights to the Software, including copyright and other intellectual property rights.

2. Registration

Use of certain features requires a one-time free registration, which applies to one computer. You may not tamper with or circumvent the registration process. Registration is currently free of charge; the scope and conditions of what is offered may change in future versions.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the Software for unlawful purposes. You may not sell the Software or distribute modified copies of it. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, or attempt to extract its source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law or the applicable open-source license permits it for the components it covers.

4. Open-source components

The Software includes open-source components. The applicable licenses and notices are available in the Software's information screen.

5. Privacy

The handling of personal information is set out in the Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Software is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vilm disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Vilm does not warrant that the Software will operate without error in every hardware and software environment.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vilm shall not be liable for any damage arising out of or in connection with the use of the Software. Nothing in these terms limits liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence, or excludes rights granted to you by applicable law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

8. Changes

These terms may be amended by posting the revised version on this page together with its effective date.

9. Governing law and language

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. They are drafted in English; translations may be provided for convenience, and in the event of any inconsistency, the English version shall prevail.
